Retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) is the abnormal blood vessel development in the retina of the eye.These vessels are very thin and fragile and if gone untreated, they can leak and cause internal bleeding of the eye, and even permanent vision loss. Stevie Wonder was born with this condition.
