Visual Agnosia

I found this post blog that had a youtube video on it that showed two different people with visual agnosia. They had issues identifying specific objects from different categories. The one guy saw an object that looked like a candle but he used his other senses to smell it and recognized that it smelt like a crayon. A picture came up where he could recognize the shape of the object. It looked like a pen to him but the lady told him it was an instrument. After he was able to think of different musical instruments he guessed the right object. There are different types of visual agnosia. Some people have difficulty recognizing specific object categories, recognizing faces, and recognizing color.
Visual agnosia is not caused by damage to their organ like their eye, its caused when there is damage to the visual processing areas or area of the brain.
