If you stare at the 4 dots in the middle for 30 seconds, then look at a white wall and you should see Jesus. In class, we learned about Lateral Inhibition. I was wondering if a difference in firing rate is what could explain this optical illusion, or if it's explanation had more to do with why we see sun spots, after staring at the sun or taking flash photography.
