What affects your eyesight?

Things that affect a person's eyesight, can definitely affect the rest of their life. However, how does the vision become impaired to begin with? The first and most important factor is genetics. If heredity is not in your favor, it is possible that one parent or both may have poor eyesight, which will impact a person's eyesight most most. Eyesight is also impacted by age. The older we become the wear our eyes have experienced. For example, someone who initially had 20/20 vision could incur carats in their late ages of 50-60 years old due to proteins clumping together in the coral lens, thus reducing our vision. Then of course there are other factors such as direct damage, diet, etc., but age and heredity play the biggest part when it comes to our vision.
