During my reading I learned about something I have never heard of anosmia; which is the loss of smell. Before my reading I wouldn't think about the fact that I smell food to see if its rotten, or in the case in the book smell propane. Smell is very important.

In this video a girl named Anna talks about her anosmia. She states that she can taste bitter, sour, salty, very sweet, spicy, or hot in temperature, but she cannot taste flavor. Causes include congenital anosmia (born with it), nasal polyps, medicines, chemicals, age, etc.. She than continues to talk about her anosmia and how she lives with being an anosmic.
