In time I will find where these beep ball games are played. I have attended Special Olympic games (locally) and never seen beep ball. I think that this would be a excellent event for Special Olympics. As I stated before, I think this would be something interesting to experience. When I first read it, I thought, boy I wish I could get one of these balls, a bat and the two bases, get some of my classmates together and try it out on one of Stocktons baseball fields and see how we do. Of course we would all be blind folded.
Doing an activity like this would help us to get a better understanding of the challenges that others have to deal with on a daily basis. Just imagine the next time you complain about doing something, how challenging it would be for these folks. Ask yourself, what do I really have to complain about?

i love your idea of adding Beep Ball to the Special Olympics. After watching the video on how beep ball is play i really grasped just how challenging the sport is, i know i would be lousy. I commend everyone with visual impairments who attempts to try what seems impossible everyday because it takes a lot of courage.ReplyDelete
