While thinking of what to write for Post 1, I stumbled upon this video that I thought was really interesting. As related to our Perception class, we have 5 senses. Vision, Smell, Taste, Touch, and Hearing. Sometimes these senses can be joined together known as a condition called Synesthesia. People who experience this may taste shapes, hear colors, taste/feel certain words, or see written digits, letters, or words in color. I didn't realize how many people in the world actually have this condition. Research discovered that 1 in 300 people have some varation of the condition. Studies show more women than men experience Synesthesia and most victims are left-handed. People with this condition are born with it.
