The text, Sensation and Perception, states that Visual Angle is the angle of an object relative to the viewers eye. The visual angle can be seen by measuring the distance of the whole object from the viewers lens. Once this is completed we may then concur how large the object will appear on the back of the viewers eye. The most interesting aspect of this technique is optical illusions that can be produced from visual angle.
