Color Stroop Test

The Color Stroop test involves color words matched with congruent and incongruent colors. First you will be tested on words that are congruent with the text and your reaction time will be recorded. It is a lot easier to recognize the color when the color and text are congruent. Next you must name the color of the word and not the text itself. This is a very diffiuclt task and there is usually a big difference in timing. The test has also been performed with positive, neutral, and negative words. It is much easier to recogize the color when the words are positive and neutral than when they are negative.
