Ted Talks Visual Perception
While I was searching YouTube today, I came across an interesting Ted Talk about visual perception, which just so happens to be the subject we are covering in class. In the video, Daniel Simons speaks about vision and perception almost as if it were an alternate reality. Simons shows several illusions in his presentation, that show how our vision can easily be distorted and/ or tricked into seeing something as it does not appear. Simons also makes a reference to the phenomena we learned in class called Lateral Inhibition. Overall, the video is extremely informative, and helps to clearly show how visual perception can easily be manipulated. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Il_D3Xt9W0
