Meditation Reduces Pain

http://franticworld.com/can-mindfulness-meditation-really-reduce-pain-and-suffering-by-90-percent-2/

This article explains how mindfulness meditation can help people deal with pain from chronic illness or injuries. They explain that pain is a sensation, which means the pain is an interpretation made by the brain before its consciously felt. Once you accept the pain, and stop struggling to battle it, a sense of peace will take over. If you accept the messages of pain, the pain could actually diminish. "Reducing anxiety, stress, depression and exhaustion can lower the perception of pain and even eliminate it completely." I think it's amazing that there's an alternative to pain killers and other drugs for people who suffer from chronic pain. Meditation isn't easy but it's practice does work.
