Lasik Eye Surgery

There has been many back and forth debates about whether Lasik Eye Surgery is worth it. First off, the cost is very high and the procedure has some significant risks. The procedure reshapes the cornea to enable light entering the eye to be properly focused onto the retina for clearer vision. In most cases, laser eye surgery is pain-free and completed within 15 minutes for both eyes.  In 2013, the average cost overall for laser vision correction was $2,073 per eye. As you can see this procedure is very costly, but is has a great effect in the long run. The video below shows how the procedure is done. The risks to this surgery are present, but the success rate seems to overpower people's worries. I think I would be willing to get this procedure done if I had the money!

  1. I wanted this surgery too! It's so interesting how they can reshape a person's cornea and clear their vision in a matter of 15 minutes !

  2. I definitely thought about getting this done, until my uncle did and now 5 years later he is back to his old eye sight unfortunately. Hopefully this isn't a normal thing to occur, because it would be so convenient to not have to wear contacts or glasses anymore!

  3. My friend's grandmother got something like this. I didn't think that it would work, but surprisingly it did. Pretty cool!

  4. My cousin got Lasik eye surgery a couple years ago and she said it was one of the best decisions she has ever made; she never has to worry about contacts or glasses again. I remember when she first got it she had to wait several weeks to open her eyes under water. It's so amazing the operations they can perform on people to fix abnormalities such as vision.
