This video is about Dr. Jay Neitz who is a vision scientist at the University of Washington who may have found a cure for colorblindness. Dr. Neitz has been able to cure colorblindness in squirrel monkeys and their colorblindness is exactly like humans. Dr. Neitz explained that he used a gene therapy to add back a gene that's missing that is the cause of colorblindness. He also states that before they can test it on humans that he needs to make sure that is perfectly safe. He states before they can test it on any humans he wants to make sure that "there is no possibility the treatment could have any adverse effects on humans".
