Smell and Memory

To many mamals memory is the most important sense and is most closely linked with memory.  It is aproximated that humans have 1,000 different sensors in the nose used for smell.  Smell differs from sight and hearing because it used molecules, while hearing uses changes in pressure to sense changes.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NpUidfXm2Ws the links goes over how olfactory membrane works.
