Tasters and NonTasters


My whole life i have always been a picky eater and never known why. Everyone has different reactions to foods depending on how they taste. People who can taste bitter substances are described as tasters and those who cannot are nontasters. The differences in people's tasting abilities has to do with the amount of taste buds that people have. People who can taste the bitter substance have a higher amount of taste buds then those who cannot. Also, people who are tasters have specialized receptors that are absent in nontasters. So therefore, a reason that i am picky could have to do with being a taster.
